A memorial plaque in honour of Karel Schwarz is located on a house in Nový Jičín-Žilina. Schwarz was one of the most important men in the Austrian monarchy of his time, and not only in the field of construction. The author of the memorial plaque is the Nový Jičín artist Jan Zemánek
