Since 19 December 2011, the Nový Jičín Visitor Centre - the town of hats has been an organisational component of the town of Nový Jičín on the basis of a charter issued by the town council. It operates in the Laudon House on Masaryk Square No. 45 in Nový Jičín.

It significantly contributes to the development of tourism, the promotion and presentation of Nový Jičín at home and abroad and to the cultural and social life of the town. It also spreads cultural tradition in the form of experiential tourism and provides comprehensive tourism services to visitors in an informative, educational and entertaining way.

With its exhibitions and services, the visitor centre is located at the intersection of the city's potential with its continuous hatmaking tradition and the existence of a working factory.
