An important factory owner and entrepreneur from Nový Jičín. In 1867, he took over the family textile factory from Johann Nepomuk Preisenhammer and expanded it with new facilities, a drying room, and steam engines. Around 1898, the factory employed 150 workers and produced high-quality fabrics such as loden, melton, and cheviot. For his services, he was named an honorary citizen of Nový Jičín in 1910.
