He became an imperial councillor, was a wholesaler in Nový Jičín and also a judge of the district court. He served as vice-mayor and held the office of municipal council. He worked for a long time in the management of the local railway in Nový Jičín, the Nový Jičín Reserve Bank and the Savings Bank. The tombstone is again the work of Leopold Hohl.
