Tourist information center Of Nový Jičín

The village is famous as the birthplace of the historian, writer and politician František Palacký. His birth house is open to the public. It was built by Palacký's father and later served as an evangelical school. Since 1978 it has been a national cultural monument. The exhibition tells about the life of František Palacký and the history of the village. There is also a statue of the "Father of the Nation" in the square.

Near his birthplace there is a wooden church of St. Andrew - one of the oldest in the country. On the hill to the west of the village is a listed Dutch-style windmill from 1864. You can also walk along the František Palacký Educational Trail, which is lined with 21 information boards about Palacký and the surrounding area.

In the vicinity of Hodslavice - in the direction of Hostašovice and Valašské Meziříčí - you can stop at the Kacabaja water reservoir, which is widely used for swimming and recreation in summer.
