Studénka
Studénka, the youngest town in the district, attracts the attention of visitors with its interesting cultural monuments, nature and two castles. In the Baroque building of the Studénka Chateau you can visit the Carriage Museum, the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. The exhibition here maps the historical development of rail transport and wagon production. A large working model railway is an attraction for child visitors. The second castle is located in the local part of Nová Horka and offers guided tours dedicated to the history of the castle, beautifully restored halls and the "Kotvice" exhibition, which focuses on the surrounding nature.
Other sights include the unique castle gate in the castle grounds, the Churches of All Saints and St. Bartholomew, St. Anne's Chapel and the birthplace of the most famous native, František Cardinal Tomášek.
Sports enthusiasts will be delighted by the presence of an ice and summer stadium, tennis courts, a cyclocross track or a natural swimming pool. Nature lovers can visit the Nature Trail Kotvice, leading from Nová Horka around the ponds and the meandering Odra River to the Pasečná Bridge. The trail is easy and accessible all year round.
