Kojetín
Kojetín, a local part of Nový Jičín, lies between Svinec Hill and Stranice Hill. It boasts many natural attractions, such as the Pikritové mandlovce Natural Monument - you can see them on both sides of the road leading from Kojetín to another local part, Stranik. It is forbidden to disturb the walls of the quarry in any way, as they are historically and geologically valuable evidence of underwater volcanic activity.
The attention of nature lovers will be drawn to the large lime tree on the northern edge of Kojetín - this monumental tree is one of the oldest in the Novojičín region. Not far from the dam you will find a baby maple tree, which even ranks among the oldest trees in northern Moravia.
Sports activities are offered especially in the Svinec ski resort. The main ski slope is about 480 metres long and is also suitable for more experienced skiers. You can also bring your children, who can ski on the hill Včelínk with natural snow. Of course, there is night skiing under artificial lighting.
