Tourist information center Of Nový Jičín

The Beskydy Pustevny, named after the ancient hermits who lived there, is one of the most frequently visited places. The wooden buildings built according to the designs of architect Dušan Jurkovič - the Libušín restaurant and the Maměnka hotel - are a dominant feature. Another wooden building is a bell tower decorated with colourful ornaments.

Pustevny is a crossroads of hiking trails, for example to the Radhoštěc ridge. On the way to Radhošt' you will see the statue of the god Radegast. It has stood here since 1931, with a short break when stonemasons carved a granite copy to replace the weather-beaten original. Its author is Albín Polášek, a native of Frenštát pod Radhoštěm.

The pilgrimage chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius from 1898 stands at the top of Radhoště (1 129 m above sea level). From here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Vsetín Hills, Javorníky, Jeseníky, Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Ondřejník, Kněhyni, Smrky and Lysá hora. Many hiking trails lead through Radhošt'.
